I built a tumbler using a 55 gal. drum, with a washing machine motor.
My question is how to slow the motor down.
I have a belt around the drum and on a 1" pully on the motor.
The drum still goes to fast.
Looking for help.

How many rpm does it turn? You could use a belt driven mandrel to aid gear selection. motor to mandral, mandral to barrel, using the mandral to ad and change gears till you acheive the rpm you desire. John C.

Thank you John for the help. I will make a trip to the hardware today. So far I only have $30.00 into my tumbler and about 7 hours of time so if I have to put a little more money into it I will still be way a head. Thank you again!!
