I'm a begineer in taxidermy I've got my cape tanned and I fell into a problem softing my cape do you have any tips you can share with me?

Dirk, To rehydrate a tanned cape soak it in water in a 5gal bucket with a handful of salt.Let it soak for an hour or so , then remove ,put into a plastic bag and let sweat overnight in fridg.The next day, it'll be ready to mount.You'll probably have to stretch on it a little bit to get it back to size.
