Hello,
I'm really new to everything, and I followed a web
page search that led me here (hee, hee). I have two
pelts, a coyote and a wolf, and they're both cased.
I want to split them myself, and I was wondering
if anyone could help inform me where exactly should I
make the cuts.
Thank you,
Joel

Before you try and split them, look at the kind of mount you are going to do. This helps a great deal in terms of where I'm going to make my cut. If your still not sure buy the form that your going to do and look at the form and try to see what will be the best way of putting your hide on the form. That is to do the least amount of sewing. But on the other side I like the dorsel cut myself.

So...if I want to make a dorsel cut myself, what do I do?
How do I split it exactly? and with what?
Thanx!
Joel A.
