Although this message has been here before, it really didn't answer my question. WHich publication advertised here - Breakthrough or Tax Today - is the best for a beginner to read? I'm severely limited on capital and want to avoid subscribing to a bunch of mags only to find out that most of them talk about things I don't do and won't be doing a for a very long time. Like PC's. I subscribed to a year of a popular magazine and it turned out to be nothing more than a promotional manifesto for all the hightech gear available to the techno-nerd. Didn't learn a thing about using my computer. Did learn not to re-up my subscription. Is one of these mags more beginner-oriented than any other? Thanks for all the invaluable help you guys offer here.

This is an easy one. Breakthrough is the best, lots of info for beginners and pros alike. Fantastic publication!!!

Lee,
Both are excellent publications. How about choosing one for a 1
year subscription, and then in 6 months, pick up the other one. you
hopefully can save the $25 in the 6 months to pay for the 2nd subscription
and then if you neeed to choose, your dues will be staggered for 6 months
giving you ample time to save for or drop your least favorite. I have
a feeling you'll keep both.

Taxid. Today has 6 issues vs. 4 for Breakthrough per year so you might end up with more info for your money with Taxid. Today.
