For the bill I start with a gray primer misted lightly. Over that, spray a light coat of thinned white only at the back of the mouth. Go over that with a bright orange again very light, but allow the white to lighten your orange in the corner. Of the mouth. Than spray a medium coat of snow goose red over the culman and let dry. After it is dry use a water base gray or blue gray and apply a wash over the entire bill. Wipe the high spots with a tissue or Q-tip, but don't soak up the paint in the cracks and low areas. This sounds simple, but you are dealing with a very small item so go light. When the wash is completely dry. Spray a fine mist of white pearl from about a foot away. If you can see it go on it is too much. Just a psst of paint will do.

For the legs start with a good coat of Mallard Tan. This substitutes for flesh at times very nicely. Next use gill red on the front of the tarsus fading to the rear. Over the gill red highlight with orange. Than a light coat of Snowgoose Red let the orange and gill red show through. In some places. Darker in the front of the tarsus. Lightly spray the pads with yellow ochre, but it should not look yellow when finished. More like a yellow tinted flesh. Also spray a minute amount of light brown on the back of the tarsus, but don't completely cover just a light mist will do. Lastly do a wash with whitish gray water-based paint over the entire foot.
Cheers
Tony
