help turkey has damaged wing

just started mounting turkeys customer brought in turkey with first 5 wing feather shot off . I was wanting to know if they can be replaced or not . cust wanted it flying , hate to have him spend money for freeze drying head and have a poor looking mount in return. also likr to know what the going rate is for a turkey mount .

can replace the feathers, but you need extra feathers first. I'm sure you knew that though. I charge $600 for a flying turkey. They are a lot of work. I'm in the Pacific Northwest so your area may have a different price structure.

dan thanks for info . if I get feathers do I pluck old broke feathers and glue in new one also do you know where i might get any feathers thanks travis

I wrote a fairly involved reply concerning feather imping that covers it in detail. For turkey feathers you would need pieces of approx. 2" long 14ga. wire with both ends sharpened. Otherwise, everything is the same.
