getting ready to mount a pheasant will be useing real head.. need to know if there is any thing i need to do to the wattles.. should i skin head off skull & build it up that way & then pull skin back over it? thx, for any ideals...

Real skulls are fine, you have to skin the head out, clean the skull, sculpt every thing back, be a little generous with the clay, skuilpt the wattles to look like the wattle. When you reinvert the head use a modeling tool to run around the feather line. This should give you a nice full look. Besure and use references.
