strutting turkey pose

I'm having trouble finding clear reference photos of a fanned and strutting grouse. I can"t get a clear view of the wing placement in any of my photos. Do they drop their wing tips a tad, like a turkey, or are the wings tucked like a normal standing pose? Most of my photos of grouse are black and white, or filled shadows. Any good sources out there for grouse. I can never get them to stand still enough for a goodshot, camera or oyherwise.

It makes a big difference. Also, a grouse's strutting routine is not as simple as a turkeys. Some of them assume a variety of poses.

Has a book out on grouse and has many sturt pictures in it. My friend got me it and I just love the great pics it has! Other wise Breakthrough mag had some pics on one. It was a study on one so you can give them a call also.
