I have a turkey tail, beard and feet that a customer wants done on a plaque - I think the number is TP1 from McKenzie. I am wondering if theres a way to put the feet on the plaque that will look nice. Where should they go and what should I use to cover the top of the leg ? The plaque is only made for tail and beard. Thanks.

i never did like the feet on a plaque, so i started useing the brass rings u can get at Wal-Mart in the craft dept. cut them into & then cut the spur off leg & remove the skin & run it acros a wire wheel then slid them onto the brass ring, you may want to get some wooden beads too for spacers. then attach ring to the face plate on the plaque.it allso workes real nice on the breast mounts just get a bigger brass ring. hope this helps you out some just try different things tilll you find the one that works for you...
Take the brass from a 2 shot gun shells and pop out the primer, then take leather shoe laces and put it through the hole where the primer was and tie a knot and slide the brass over the knots. Take the turkey feet and cut them down to fit into the brass. Remove the feet and put hot glue into the brass then stick the feet into the hot glue. When it is dry take the lace and drape it in between the wood and the tail. Hope this helps.
