I attended a sports show displaying a mounted turkey which was flying straight out from the wall. The tail was up in a 3/4 fan, and the feet were hanging about 45 degrees from the body. The wings were spread level to the body. It gave the appearance of a bird pitching off of a limb, and was supported by a wire through the rear. I have not seen this style mount before, or since, and wondered if anyone out there has a reference photo of this. I'm guessing it may be more common than I think. Any help is most appreciated. Thank you, GW.

I have a simular mount on display, but mine is at a 45 degree angle from the wall. You may have to use your imagination on this one, use any flying reference that you have and get busy. I had a neat idea that I will share with you. I placed a gobbling on a limb mount next to the fly down mount, below these there are several stut mounts. My thought was to make a peice as one unit, showing, as if in progression, Gobbling on the limb, to fly down, to full strut, maybe place a hen on the forest floor below. Get the picture? I will have to wait until next year to get another gobbler, the flying and gobbling mounts are in different directions.
