i've been searching all over the web looking for something to cover my duck mounts with. I've come up with the idea of using some thing like those bowls or plates with clear plastic covers the real thin stuff. like the ones salads are in at fast food places. the only trouble is i cant find any big enough. or some thing like what a 2 litre pop bottle is made of. Im looking for some thing cheap to cover my own mounts. or some kind of thin clear shipping container round or square i don't matter as long as it is deep enough to cover the mount. Any one got any ideas? thanks

It doesn't sound like you are making a permanent display, or you would be seeking info on display cases. A cardboard box that is taped closed will do a fairly good job of keeping the dust off, at least for quite a while, but I don't think it is much use against bugs.
I suppose you could buy a used aquarium and turn it upside down over a mount ... dust proof, but kind of tacky.
Van Dykes sells some inexpensive plastic strips that are used for joining 1/8" plexi. together into D.I.Y. cases. They are tolerable.
I don't totally understand why you would want such a cheap cover for a mount, since mine are either in a case or not ... nothing halfway.
Another unsolved mystery ...
