I found a fresh dead raven a few days ago and want to use the wings as a fan for ceremony, What is the best method to prepare and preserve the wings? Any help is appreciated,
I have the wings in salt right now.

Dead crows are the main indicater used for tracking west nile virus. I don't think you can get it from the crow but if you find another one you may want to take it to your local health dept. You can learn more about this on the internet.
If you keep the salt on it for a while the wings will eventually dry out and be fine. Its really best to remove as much of the wing meat as possible first and dust it good with something like borax. Since it doesn't have to be perfect for what your doing just cut the under side of the wing open and scrape out as much meat as you can.
