What kind of bird form would I use to mount a rooster. I have some people interested in having some mounted for the college football season coming up..South Carolina gamecock fans. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Al

Take measurments from the original body, and wrap your own. Or purchase one from a Gamecock, or Pheasent. Check the catalogs.
I'm sure there's one close to what your looking for. Good luck.
And i hope this helps
Mike
Take some plaster and burry that carcass half way in some sand or corn cob grit and cast the carcass. Make one side then put vasoline on the excess plaster shelf so that the other half of the mould does not stick to the first half. Then take some 4# 2 part foam from Hide and Beak and there you go. A perfect fitting body.
Later.

Been mounting Gamecocks for football fans down there for years. The very best form available with very little muss and fuss is the game chicken forms sold through McKenzies. The LAST thing you want to be doing with a gamecock is carving or wrapping your own. When they're winning, you could be mounting extra chickens while you were wrapping or carving. BTW, in case you haven't already found out, Jean Lavalee of White Mountain has some domes that fit most of the Carolina Gamecock poses like a glove. NOW, if you get Lou Holtz to autograph YOURS, I'm gonna be ticked. LOL
