I mounted a Ringneck Pheasant with his head lowered in the fighting position with tail fanned out and in the air, also have feathers raised on the back of his neck and wings down. He turned out really nice but the blue feathers near the joint of his wings have slightly over time(3-4months)kind of raised up and I was wondering how that could have happened as they were flat when I mounted him. Any ideas is appreciated. Dana

This is one reason to check thengs daily or even more often and to allow enough time for it to dry. It started this because the anatomy there was not quit right.
Use clear, siliconized latex caulk under the skin on your next bird it will take several days to set and this allows you time to adjust those feathers and something to hold them in place.
