I have seen some really fantastic reproduction bird work on some US sites,I especially remeber a group of flamingos. Here in Sweden I have never seen a single repro done. Does anyone know about a book that covers this subject? Or even better, a video? By the way, hope You all had a great 4;th of July! And keep hunting them terrorists!

This is the only book I know of with step-by-step information on how to recreate owls and eagles using the skins and feathers of legal game birds. You can read more about this book on the WASCO website. Here is the description:
Predator Taxidermy
written by Frank Newmyer and others
99 pages, over 462 black & white photos and diagrams.
In this new offering from World Champion bird taxidermist Frank Newmyer, information is presented for the first time explaining methods for mounting and recreating birds of prey. Glen Browning from Canada shows his detailed method for skin mounting a sharp-shinned hawk on an original mannikin. Frank teams up with Thurston Grobek to demonstrate the procedures for large birds with a turkey vulture. World Champion recreationist Jim Day shows how to create a legal bald eagle from the feathers of readily available species, and Frank teams up with Jim Day to produce a snowy owl recreation.
