formeldahyde ?

I've been checking out the archives for formeldahyde information but haven't found one on the price.

McKenzie sells a pint of Preserv-It for about $7. How does that compare to formeldahyde, which I assume is available at drug stores?

Just trying to compare the most economical way to shoot up my turkey feet.

Use the Preserv-it Don't mess with formeldahyde. There is no reason
to use it nowdays. I used it for 20 years and wished I hadn't.

Why do you wish you hadn't?

Formaldehyde is outdated...

I still use formaldehyde - but this is for my personal wet collection of vertebrates only. Hard to top it's preserving qualities for wet collections - but for taxi work I hear preservz-it works every bit as well. Formaldehyde and its base component formalin is just a nasty toxic chemical. Preservz-it is a lot safer. That lone is enough of a reason to switch if you don't NEED to use it. If yer doin bird feet - stay away from formalin and formaldehyde.... If yer doin wet collections in jars - it's still number 1 in my books...

Personal reasons

Robert:
The reason I wish I hadn't used it is personal, It may or may not
be the cause but It is possible that it was the cause or atleast an
aid in promoting my condition. Sorry it sounds so vague but I'd rather not
discuss it.
Sorry.
Bob.
