I know this is a stupid question, but you know what they say...so I'll ask it. when mounting a duck, how in the freaking heck do you attach the eye skin around the eye? I super glue the skin on the mouth, but the eyes? I 've mounted 3 ducks and htis is by far my biggest problem. PLease help. Thanks.

Well Bodine I must say out of the zillion (estimate lol) or so ducks I've done I've never glued the eyes or done anything other than maybe a little tuck and maybe a pin in each corner as they dry.
What kind of problems are you having?

Thanks for the reply Bud. I use artificial heads and don't see where to tuck the skin to or how to stick a pin in the head!? The first duck I did I just glued the eye in the socket and thats all. This last time I built up with clay around it a little so I could try to tuck it. There just dosen't seem to be any skin to tuck..it just kind of mashed in there and comes out real easy. Maybe you could give me the details of how you do it. I'd say you have enough experience being I've done 3 and you've done a zillion.
Thanks again.

Set your eyes in apoxie sculpt and feather it out -this allows you to lightly press the skin and tuck around the eyes. You can also make eyerings at the same time.

You can make your eye rings ahead on a spare eye then lift and glue into place over your eye skin when you mount up -kinda tricky but can be done. Play with a few and see how you like it.
Pauls suggestion above will do the trick for you though - good luck.
