Hey there,
Just a stupid thought . . .
I've been looking at bird feet injection methods and I was wondering if you could use just a straight over-the-counter epoxy for injection. I'm thinking of that stuff that comes in the dual-tube syringe type thing. You can pick it up at Wal-Mart or Ace Hardware, wherever. You can heat it up and it should be runny enough for injecting. Think that would keep a bird's legs in good shape or not?
Not sure why I care, but I was just thinking about it . . .

I know a great taxidermist well for all I know he is the one of the top 5 Bird Taxis in the the US today. And he recomended to me to use the Van Dykes bird feet preservation fluid. I believe this man and I have no doubt in him what so ever and so far this fluid works. So if you want a quality mount inject it with and 18 ga. needle and inject into the pads, toes, and the upper foot area. You will like the results. I have never used the epoxy for that, but if I was you i would be callin up Van Dykes asap and gettin some of that fluid.
Thanks Mike,
I have no doubt the Van Dyke fluid is good stuff. I was just thinking about all the things people have done sort of on their own and discovered it worked. Like caulk on a turkey, etc. Anyway, just wondering about the epoxy thing. I'm not going to do it I don't think. I was just curious.
Thanks again.
