I mounted my first turkey but have a problem. There are lots of little fuzzy feathers sticking out between the main feathers. What have I done wrong? How can I fix the problem? Thanks in advance for any help provided.

mistake is that you used a body that is too large. Birds don't tolerate much "stretch" without repercussions...
Cyclone is right, many taxis just keep using bodies that are to large in all thier mounts.
With birds, I have found I have to wash them several times on occasions.
Then rinse rinse and rinse some more. You have to rinse the soap out.
Then you have to get the down dry start at the skin and work your way out.
Hide paste will also help.
if your feathers are still a bit damp they will fluff and widen a bit when dried. You have to preen the bird with forceps, a needle or whatever works to get the feathers to cover the down. Taxi-ing the skin while the hide paste is still pliable is a must also..Move those feather tracts until they are in place..
Thanks to everyone that provided help.
