I mounted my first goose today, but I need some advice on how to straighten out the feathers? wings are flying but they are very wrinkled and seperated. Found how to straighten unmounted birds in the archives but not already mounted ones. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Sherry

The answer is to card the wings. This means to apply hardboard or cardboard under and above the wing. Adjust the feathers to where they belong and push pins through both pieces of carding. Many materials can be used from manila folders to cut foam. I also use masking tape a lot. This is how to keep the tail feathers where they belong also. If you mean the feathers are bent and warped, you can steam them to straighten. You should look at a book or video that shows how to card. Also the wing must be correct under the skin. If not the skin won't taxi correctly

I'll try both your answers. Sherry
