Turkey feet problem

I mounted a turkey using the Buckey Manikin method but the feet won't dry. The heel part of the foot remains soft and now the surface scale of the foot is lifting. What should I do, how can i prevent this from happening in the future. This is the second time in a row. Could it be I didn't remove the tendons?
thanks!

Are those feet cleaned out. If you used buckeye form you had a rod that is used by removing the marrow and a rod it then screwed in. After that done it get's injected. Now if you placed the rod on the outside of the bone and didn't clean out the tendons and left it in this may be your problem besides improper drying.
also if your Tom is in an area that is high in humidity and a bit cool it will take a long time for it to dry out. What you can do is set it near a fan and let it help the drying process. Feet can take up to a week or two to dry out. Plus did you inject the feet and what did you use?
