I've been getting lots of requests for freeze dried turkey heads. Can anyone tell me where I can get some done without costing me an arm and a leg? Some customers are only willing to give up a leg. Jason

Then give them a cheaper plastic reproduction. When I get a finnicky customer, I ask going in whether he wants the mount to look lifelike or his concern is saving $20 or $30. If it's the last, he gets the plastic. He made the choice, I didn't.
George, been doing that. I got a lead on some freeze dried
heads for under $40 I'm checking out.waiting for an email responce.
Search the archives a few months back, I posted a articl on molding and casting them with latex. Done correctly its very very hard to tell the repro. from the real. Even the feathers and hairs will transfer.
Check this web page. It might be more expensive than what you are looking for. Just trying to help. www.turkeyheads.com Hope that works for you.
Good heads , great price. I think you can find them by typing
Anglers Taxidermy & Freeze-dry into your internet search. I've
had them do my last 2 batches of mine.
I had Rich from Anglers do a head for me. THe one I wanted to use was not salvageable. He had a head on hand and I got it for $60 painted. That's a great price when you can't send in your own.
He charges $25 to freeze-dry heads you provide and $45 to dry and paint your head.
I think it looked great and the price simply can't be beat. I highly reccomend him.
