I just finished skinning a snipe. Wow what a challenge...to the new person anyway. Does anyone have any ideas on what size wire and eyes to use on these little buggers. I couldn't find a size guide in any of my books...for snipe. Any help would be great.

I used florist wire from walmart in a standing pose with no wire in the wings. Going from memory, which is not very good anymore, I think I used brown 8mm eyes. Looking at the mount on my shelf, I'm glad I have that one done as it was the toughest I've ever done in my collection of birds. Be very careful in the washing/drying phase or the skin will rip to shreds under its own weight(I trashed my 1st attempt here....).
