I'm trying to find a good reference of an old squaw duck standing. All I have is the sea duck sitting in water if anyone has any idea, that would be very helpful.
Thank you.

Lucy, If you look at basically any diver reference it will give you an idea on how a sea duck stands. All diver ducks (sea ducks included) stand in an upright position compared to dabblers because of the placement of their legs. On sea ducks and divers the legs are positioned farther back (for swimming and diving and are also used to help the duck gain momentum as they take off of the water). It will be very hard to find a standing reference picture of an old squaw because they seldom leave the water, only to nest (generally though there are exceptions to everything). My suggestion is to use a picture of another diver. Hope this helps and good luck.
Dane,
Thank you very much, this helps me a lot in mounting this bird.
Thank you again!
