Im both State and federally licensed. I have purchased some migratory birds from a breeder. Wooducks, Redheads, and Bahama Pintails, I received the federal transfer slips as such. Can I sell these same ducks frozen or do they now have to be mounted before I can sell them?

My recollection is that as long as you have a Federal Taxidermy License or a Federal migratory propagator"s license, you may sell them.

I'm really surprised that no one posted here to disagree with me. If they did they would have been right. After making this post, I thought about it and decided to call U.S.F.& W. and get the straight scoop. And the story is that technically a federally licensed taxidermist may NOT sell Pen Raised Migratory birds frozen. They must be mounted for a taxidermy license to cover them. If a person wants to sell them un-mounted, he must have a valid federal waterfowl sale and disposal permit.
