Submitted by Tony on 03/15/2003. ( BlueWingTeal6@cs.com ) 64.12.96.202

I am looking for a mounted Female Spotted Eagle Owl. I would like it mounted perched on a branch for a wall hanging. If you have one, or know of anyone who I can contact that could get one for me, please email me with any information, pictures, and prices. Thanks.

It's highly illegal for a private party to possess owls (or any raptor). For your wall hanging, find a nice picture of the Spotted Owl in a magazine and have it nicely framed instead. Cornboy.

Liz on the wanted section said it's O.K.

Since it's from Africa. Yeah Right!

I especially like this response to me, "If you don't know what you are talking about......don't answer the question.

LMAO

Cecil, you have not a clue what you are talking about. There I think seven species of eagle owl they are found from Africa, Europe, through out the middle east and India. They are related to our great horned owl. They are not related to spotted owls of north America.

I have personally and legally imported several African Eagle Owls though I do not want to sell them. They are prized possessions of mine.

My Spotted Eagle Owls where inspected buy Fish and Wildlife when they arrived and were cleared! You have to have export and cities documentation to go with it. A copy of the documents should be kept with the bird if any question should arise.

Lis is right they are not covered under the Migratory bird act, and they are only covered under the Wild Bird Act if they are still alive.

You should really try thinking before you talk and if you are still not sure do the research.

I was wrong!

I stand corrected! I apologize! For some reason the world "Eagle" did not stand out for me. I guess my brain just saw Spotted Owl.

I hope you enjoyed yourself mjvaden. You've been chomping at the bits to lash at me for some time. It's pretty obvious. Enjoy. It won't happen again.
