freedom of religion vs. law

Since the freedom of religion law was passed long before the migratory bird act that made the ownership of hawk, owl, and eagle parts illegal, wouldn't the freedom of religion law take precidence over the migratory bird act? Hatian Vodun priests can come here and continue the ceremonies that include animal sacrafice without having to go threw the trouble of obtaining a permit of some sort because of the supreme court law stating sacrafice is protected under the freedom of religion act. I have been taught the crow religion by Crow elders and cannot practice parts of the religion because the migratory bird act seems to of taken precedence over my religious rights. Shouldn't the law that was created first take precedence over any other law?

Law isn't logical

Personally, I would like to see the animal rights philosophy classified as a religion. Belief in a supreme deity is not a requirement for a belief system to be considered a religion. (Buddhism, some primitive religions)
Since they consider that their beliefs make them more moral than non-believers, and that they have a duty to spread their doctrines and make converts, AND since many of their claims cannot be documented but require "faith" of a sort, I believe their belief system is a sort of religion and therefore should NOT be taught in the schools and its preaching should NOT be supported by tax money in any way.
But ... I'm just a taxidermist. What do I know?

Here is a funny story, I see cows as steak and BBQ.

From the end of Sept. 2002 until six weeks ago, I had gained abit of wieght. My blood pressure was up to almost boiling. Well time to see the Doctor. Down to the VA I go, see this new Dr. Shazzaut, not n=know wither the Doc. was male or female. I see a rather large Hindu Indian female Doctor walk out. I looked down to pick up some thengs, heard my name called. I am thinking well noway is this Large Doctor going to raise cane over my wieght. I approach her she slides out of the way and this little, tiny Hindu, Male Doctor looks up, ask if I am Mr. C, yes or course. As we walk to the exam room, I thinking this little skinny butt of a guy is going to ream me, sure enough, the first words out of his mouth were "You Americans eat to much, this is why you are all fat."

Of course I fired right back, when I see a cow I think of BBQ or a nice juicy steak. If you would eat a cow instead of worshiping them maybe you would have grown past the age of six.

Well the rest is history and that was 29 pounds ago.

I guess his religion came before my heathen ways.
