Help with ptarmigan

I need help with obtaining the correct colors for painting the feet and head of a ptarmigan. I have searched the archives and have to no avail found any material on this. Thank you.

Pretty simple since thier feet are feathered. you only would have a orange eye brow to repair and paint. Orange is the color.

Thanks John. As a matter of fact this is my first. As a matter of fact, I am waiting for a friend of mine to bring it to me. I just wanted a head start on things before he arrived with it. Thanks again.


Not much to paint on a ptarmigan

Their beaks are black, eyes are dark brown, and their claws are grey.
The eye comb is brilliant red on a spring bird, but is less obvious at other times, and paler.
