bird question?

We got into a little discussion last night at work about animals off spring, answere mw this, cause I don"t have a clue, ducklings are to ducks, gooslings are to geese, what are baby turkeys called ? Besides UGLY! thanks Bob

They're called poults.

They aren't ugly!

Poults start out tiny and completely fuzzy all over, just like baby chicks. Ugly comes later. (If you think turkeys are ugly, that is,)

Poults is correct.....

.....I knew "Coyote" would know that one right off the bat.
After they are Poults and make it into their firs year,the Male is called a Jake and the Female a Jenny. When mature,they are Tom's and Hen's.
Personally,I think they're about the most beautiful bird out there,alive or in the deep fryer!
