I had a client just get back from a bird hunting trip to North Dakota. He brought back some sharptail grouse that he wants me to mount for him doing there spring mating dance. Now I'am from Michigan and have never seen anything like this (the bird or the dance) and a little lost on were to start. I found some photos that give a person a idea what it should look like when it is finished just not sure how to get it there. Any help on how to do the eye combs and the air sacks would be a big help. And anything else I may not be aware of, Or a place to get a manual or video on doing this mount. Thanks for any help you can give me.

There are three photos of dancing sharptails.
One pra. chicken in taxichat.
Michigan has their own Sharptail population in the Upper Penninsula and were hunted there not long ago. Michigan Out-of-Doors did a show on their dancing ritual this past Spring. I think it could help you if you contacted them and got a copy of that tape.
