hello, i am not a taxidermist, but, i found 2 dried out bird bodies outside, and i would like to preserve them intact. any suggestions?
quite a bit of the flesh is basically gone, and the bones and skull show.

Personally, I would not have picked them up.
Second, if you are living in the Untied States it is illegal to pick them up. Unless they are quail, pheasant, or another game bird one of which hunting is allowed.
Third, your state may have laws forbidding possesion of them.
