Just getting into this and moving pretty slow. Been working on a duck for the last couple days when I got home from work. I noticed last night as I ran the wire down the foot that it has already shrunk quite a bit, especially in the toes and mainly the webbing. I have Masters Blend injection and just wondering if that will plump back up the webbing again. Is there certain points that work better for injecting the fluid to get better results? When is the proper time to use a foot injection? Would soaking the foot in water for a while before injecting it help at all? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks... -Rich

You can inject the feet with warm soapy water and they will plump up temporarilly. Than you can inject with a permanent filler.
inject with Masters Blend UNTIL AFTER the bird is in it's final pose.. Otherwise it will harden up and you wont be able to move the feet. Like Tony said, warm water will make the feet pliable enough to work with. Just don't over it do it with the needle holes, you're masters blend will all run out.
Good Luck,
Jon
Thanks fellas for the quick responses. First time user of the forums and am impressed! Anyway, where is the best place to inject the foot. If the main shrinking is in the webbing and tips of the toes, is that where I inject, or do I shoot it up a little higher and it will seep into and plump up the webbing and toes? Thanks Again. -Rich
i inject the tips of the toes. they will plump up as well as the webs. you may also inject the leg.... if they arent too bad i'd just let the masters blend plump them up..it will work. too many holes gets messy.

What will happen if I don't put anything in the feet of my ducks? Will they go bad? shrivel up? fall off? What happens to them?
I have only done two ducks so far and they turned out pretty good. The training tapes I bought were informative but only to a point. They leave so much out of them. I think it is on purpose : )So to my delight I have gotten almost all my additional questions answered on here. You are a great bunch of people and a credit to the 37 million ducks fying around out there, that will be preserved better in history because of you. My head feathers go off to you : )
