any suggestions on how to replace the two long tail feathers on a pheasant? Customer has rooster with tail feathers broke off and wants to replace them with feathers from another bird.

Its the same as replacing any tail feathers on any bird.

The bar patterns on ringneck tail feathers are al most a unique a s fingerprints. You will need feathers that are at least fairly close or the replacements will stand ot like a sore thumb. Make sure that your customer is aware of this. Been there, done that.
Some pheasants have rust colored tails, other have a greenish hue...yet others still can be bluish... Make sure you match the color as well as the barring.

So far in mind. When I find Myself in such a situation. I replace the entire tail. I do My Pheasant like a turkey. So replacing the tail is no problem.
