Tucking Wings on Sitting ducks

When mounting sitting ducks, do you have to take extra material off the form in order to get the feathers around the pocket to cover the wing as they should, or is there some other way, using a smaller form, etc.

I would prefer not to cut the skin as mentioned in some other posts.

thanks,
john

There's a difference between a stand bodie and a flight bird Mostly in check configuration, flight is flatter.Think of how the muscles work tightening to pull the wing ..
There is never a need to cut the skin to fit in the wings on a standing mount.Thats just nutz..Never saw a duck do that! rememebr we are putting things back they way they were on the live bird..I know this is off the wall but the next time the wife is roasting a chicken do a little study on the boird move the leggs and wings..OR pluck a duck and move it around..I even in the start took picks of a plucked duck, goose and pheasant..This type of study is priceless.......

Thanks, Wally

Sounds like a good idea and it makes sense, taking pictures that is.

Admittedly, to the tune of "Can't touch this," I have made the chicken dance in the pan before. :)

Thanks again,
John
