I am using going to use an artificial head for the first time on a goose. I noticed that there are several sizes to choose from. Is there any referance to use to get the correct size head?

Use the measurements from the original, if you can't find the measurements in the catalogs, call the supplier and ask.

method is to measure the bill length. If the bill length matches, generally the rest of the head matches as well. You can call the suppliers and ask for the bill length of their artificial heads. Their response will be in "mm" not "inches" so be prepared. As an aside, bill length is one of the methods to determine the specie of canada goose one shoots. Good luck.

Cody if We have 12 or 13 sizes of Canada Goose heads. If y7ou have the head measure the overall length of the head, the length from the tip to the top of the lobe the width at the gape and we or your supplier can match it for you. Try WASCO or Van Dykes.
