Barbary Partridge

Pulled a bird out of the freezer today that I thought was a Chukar. Upon closer inspection and a little internet research, I've come to the conclusion that it is a Barbary Partridge, common to North Africa and the middle east.
To be honest, I don't remember where I aquired the specimen from, but I would like to know how rare this breed is. It was obviously sent to me by mistake in an order of Chukar, although it is slightly smaller than the average bob-white.

Anyone know anything about this species...

Thanks,
jon

Barbary or Red legged Partridge ar the same size or close as a Chuckar
A Partridge that is smaller than a Bob White could be a Bamboo Partridge.

neither the barby or the bamboo would be considered a rarity as quite a few people breed them.

thanks guys

tony, i thought red-legged too, but it doest have the black chin strap, rather a chocolate spotted bib. it also has blue feathers in the scapular area.
the reason as i asked about rarity, is that it is such a unique looking bird i would like to purchase another one as this particular bird was sickly and covered in pin feathers which a lot of fell out. i normally wouldn't have finished the mount, but it was something different. fortunately it turned out better than i had hoped, but still not the greatest.

if anyone who raises this speices reads this, please contact me.
