Injecting the feet

Working on my first duck... What size needle do you use for injecting small birds like ducks and pheasants, and do you use a different size for turkey feet? I'm using a small 29 guage insulin needle and am struggling with them bending and seeming to clog from the Masters Blend solution. Which leads to my next question. Do I mix the solution together first and work extremely quick, or get equal amounts in the syringe and let them mix once they are in the foot? Thanks. -RICH

Mix in the syringe.

I use a 18 gauge needle, you have to plug the hole with a like sized straight pin, then apoxie the hole to finish.

Thanks for the reply John. I take it you use the 18 gauge needle for everything from ducks to turkeys? Just reply if I'm mistaken. Take it easy... -RICH
