Instead of having to order and ship duck tonuges, does anyone know of any good ways,or materials to use to make quick and inexpensive ones.

Take a roll of your favorite epoxy putty. Squeeze it between the upper and lower bills of the duck and then open the bill. Instant tongue. The duck tongue like all animals fills the oral cavity. You may need to use a little mold release to keep it from sticking to the inside of the bill. I have found that a lot of hand cream applied to the hands before mixing the epoxy will make the molding and release very easy. It's a little trick that I have to give Frank Newmyer credit for. The tongue thing that is! The hand cream thing I learned by not paying attention to what I was doing.

Well I gave it a whirl today on a greenhead.. Unless I am skinning out ducks that dont follow those rules they didnt turn out at all like the tounge that I removed..Ill stick with the aliginate/RTV casting for ducks and geese tounge's ..However I will have to check out the peheasants I am doing in a month to see if that will work.........
