I am a photographer and I need a swan for a shoot by feb 8. We are going to try to use a live swan but need a backup just in case. If anyone has one they would be willing to sell or do(mount?, sorry:), I would be glad to discuss the project and $ with you. Please email me at troy_house@yahoo.com. Thank You. Troy

I WOULD NOT TOUCH THIS WITH A TEN FOOT POLL, DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH A DEAD SWAN WOULD COST U IF YOU GET CAUGHT WITH IT... ? DO THE LIVE SHOOT, IT WOULD BE SAFER TO YOUR POCKET BOOK....
Troy,
Don't listen to the "BO"... He is one of those armchair advisors that don't how or why....
I e-mailed you ..... give me a call... Jim
What I meant to say is..... advisor that don't "know" how or why.
Sorry to early in the morning .... After a week of Sage Grouse... YICKS... They really need to change the hunting season on them ..
Done plenty of tundra's they are totally leagel to hunt..Gee Bo where ya from?
JimBo I must appologize to you for my response this morning... I have to learn not to go to this site before I have a pot of coffee in me.
So to clear this up what I meant to say is that Swans are breed in capivity and that you are able to buy one and do with it what you want, just like buying a WoodDuck and mounting it to sell to anyone you like.. As long as it comes with all the proper paper work and that same paper work goes with the finished mount.
So we should all learn the rules and reg's before we give advise.
Sorry Again....Jim Kimball
What kind of swan? Mute, trumpetor, tundra....Ect?
Is this for government or educational purposes?
Can you legally posses a swan other then a mute or tundra? Do you have the papers to do so? We need to know the specifics before we just say its illegal, or anyone can help you.
