Alright, please bare with me...I checked the archives and didn't find the answer I was looking for. A lady out of state who saw a bird on my web site wants to buy it...It just so happens it is a pen raised wood duck from a couple years back! I have the Notice of Transfer or Sale receipt and am willing to part with it! My question is...Do I need to get another Transfer receipt from the fed's transfering it to her or do I photo copy the one I have and send it to her! Or what else might I need to do to make this legal? Help please!

The pen raised woodie must be either toe clipped, pinioned or CLOSE banded. The woodie is legal to sell in one of those forms. The papers you got from the person you bought the woodie must go with it wherever it goes from now on. If you bought more than one bird and only the woodie is being sold, you must then send a copy of your transfer permit along with the woodie. If that woodie is the only bird on that permit, send the original. There is really no need for you to keep a copy and it is probably BEST if you don't. Hope this helps !
