I've been meaning to do a water scene with a duck standing in shallow water. My question is...can you pour Envirotex into the scene without the paint running on the duck legs? Thanks for your help!

I do it all the time so I will say you "should" be able to but keep in mind that you are putting resin over a painted surface. If your paint is not secure on the feet as the Envirotex hardens it could pull the paint off your feet.
I clean the feet well with acetone and a toothbrush. Spray a coat of Basecoat sealer and then paint with laquer. My final wash coat is the wash coat I've described here before using Acrylic Matte Medium. The matte medium provides a very tough, stable finish even after most of it gets wiped off. I've never (fingers crossed) had Envirotex damage the paint on feet I've finished this way.
I'm sure you'll be ok with whatever paint method you use as long as the feet are clean and the paint is dry and secure.

Any art supply store that sells brushes and tube paints will carry Acrylic Matte Medium along with other blending mediums, turpenoid and various solvents.

It never rains in Ca. lol We are on flood watch right now, with threat of mud slides ect. Should be nice next month though. Have a safe trip. Give me a call I need to talk with you about travel.
