Masters Blend

I am very new to taxidermy yesterday was my forth bird, a Hooded Merganser which came out very well. I did have a problem with injecting the feet, and am looking for some help.

I tried Masters Blend for my first time yesterday and had some problems. I mixed equal parts on the syringe that I used to inject my feet (2cc of each part). No problem injecting the first toe, however by the time I got to the second toe it was already too hard to push through the syringe. Total time from mixing to trying to inject the second toe was only 2-3 minutes max. I did shake the syringe as soon as I mixed the parts other than that I followed the directions and what people have said to do on this form. Any hints or input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jeff

Chill the B side.

MB sets fast, the more volume the faster it will reach critical mass.

Chill one side either A or B, dont expect to inject the complete foot with one mix. You now know you can just do one toe and a time.

Rinse the syringe with lacquer thinner between injections.
