I am working on a sharptail and I am wondering how to make the feathers on top of his head stand up like he is alert on roost.

Put a little caulk in the top of the head. If you use a real head you can go through the eye hole. Than back brush the feathers on top of the head with a long pin and air from your airbrush. adjust a few times a day till the feathers are set. voilla!
