Do all species ( or no species ) of Scoter, white wing, surf, or black, use their wings to aid in diving?

For some reason, I thought the Old Squaw was the only duck that "flew" underwater. How about it Nancy?

What about Bluebills, and buffleheads? All diver ducks use they legs, and wings to aid while diving!

old squaw do,
harlequins do
common eider don't
harlequins do
Mergansers all species don't
pchards, (cans, redheads, scaup) don't
Goldeneye do sometimes, but generally don't

auklets do
terns do
cormorants don't
anhingas don't

Does anyone have a contact email for Frank S Todd? I found a phone number.. but what if he's anti-taxidermy?
