Hi, I'm an artist and I just bought two pheasant pelts from a bird farmer. He skinned them and poured salt over them popped them in a bag and mailed them. So I have detergent, borax, and oxy clean and I've read some of your advice on this forum and I wondered if there are household tools that I can use to scrape and replace the wire wheel? Is it a special tool or is it available at a hardware store?
I don't need the skin to be as pilant and strong as I think it would be if I was to stuff it but I don't want to have it go maggotey or rancid. I don't even know what things can go wrong or that I should be caucious about. If you can recomend an online site that can instruct me that would be great too! Feel free to write me direct.
thank you
A'na
