IP number

I was recently looking for an item back in the archives that a person posted. I find it very easy to find things from any individual on this site by using the IP number of that individual as a search topic. This has proved to be very helpful. Isnt it Interesting how many different names you see with the same IP number. Just curious I did a search on my own IP number and found only my name(Mike, or Larson). So whats the big deal? Use your own name because your hiding nothing, and why should you? We're all adults here arent we?

if you do a search, you'll find several names with the same IP.

made me look

Larson,

You made me look. I found that I am not even listed under my own IP number! However, I found Tony F, Superpig, wilson, Becky P, and 6 others. I was surprised that after typing in my own IP that I didn't even show up. I typed my first name and I got 5 pages of stuff. Wierd...

It depends...

on whether they have a static ip or not. Dial up users, will get assigned an ip address when they log on, so it could be different every time.

I didnt know that

Mine shows up, and I ussually can find a particular post just by using the persons IP address. If thats the case...Never mind... i have been known to be wrong way too many times.

Several people use the same computer here

We only have one computer, and several of us use it...that is part of the reason why there are several names on my IP address. I really don't care any way. What is the big deal!?

Ignorance is bliss

Most IP addresses are dynamically assigned by your ISP. If someone is using the same ISP they may eventually get the same IP as you did some other time. Static IP's like mine are rare. (and I can change mine to one of 64 different ones while testing, so mine may change as well.)

So whats the point

This response submitted by Larson on 03/16/2004 at 15:35. ( ) 65.222.30.34

of an IP address if more then one party has the same? Not only that, what are the chances of even 2 of the same IP addresses on this one site interested in the same thing with all the addresses out there? I see allot that are the same. That seems strange. Im my case ignorance is not bliss, im confused, and your right, who cares.

I think you have been intrigued by our same IP addys more than once. Would you like to be me? Or would it be more fun if I were you? I could be Tony, ya know........

Although I am intrigued and
I appreciate the offer Jeanette, but I still remember what it's like to be young and I'm afraid i'd still abuse things. I also look bad in a dress.
