I am getting ready to mount my first Hooded Merganzer, a hen. I want to have her "crest" fully extended but, I'm not sure how to do that and not have to worry about it laying down while drying. Thanks for your help.

all you need to know is there.. But keep in mind, a hens crest is not as pronounced as the drake, and does not stand as tall or as full as the drake.
