Ive completed two birds a Crested Francolin and a White Faced Duck.
In South Africa we dont really have access to taxidermy supplies like in the states nor much reading material so all my info is gathered from this forum. My question is after the bird is skinned, fleshed, degreased to I place it in a tumbler or do I airbrush it. Or both?

Airbrush?

An Airbrush is for painting. I assume you mean a blow dryer, at least thats what us yanks call the thing you blow your hair dry with. Tumble first. Then use compressed air or a hair dryer on low to finsh getting the bird COMPLETELY dry and fluffy. I use my "birdzooka" I have a shop vaccum hose taped to the top of a hair dryer. The warm air from one, and the volume from the other works great. If you dont have a tumbler set up, you can use a blow dryer for the whole thing but at takes a while and the prolonged heat can cause problems. Good luck.
