Are you suppose to stretch every cape you mount and when possible I like to tube cut the cape which will make it easy stretch but when you have split the cape all the way down how do you stetch the cape then?

Justin,

All one has to do is sew the cape back up before you slip it on the form. Turn the hide skin side out and whip stitch it back together. Then one can do all the stretching needed. Depending on how tight of a fit it is determines how much help the cape will need. I prefer to stretch all of my capes before slipping them on the form. Taxidermy means "taxi skin" ... one cannot taxi if it is too tight...hope this helps you....Boxie
