Hello all,
I bought a dead cockatiel which I should be receiving next week, I would like to start it right away but will need to place an order for other needed supplies before I receive it, does anyone know the right eye size and color for this bird so I can order ahead of time?

It depends on the mutation. If it's an 'albino', lutino, fallow, or cinnamon, or a bird with that 'mixed in', such as a lutino pearl or cinnamon pied, you will need varying degrees of "red eyes" to mount into it.
I'm looking at a very cute cockatiel right now and it looks like she has about 6 mm eyes? Ermine size? They are a dark, dark brown with a clear black pupil. If I get too close to her face, she will preen my eyelashes.
My advice? Wait until it shows up, measure the eyes with calipers, check the mutation, check your reference, and THEN order eyes.
